Technique
I have been working on new techniques in my art. Previously my painting techniques involved high detail and tiny brushstrokes. Now I am looking to explore different subjects (rather than just portraits) and new techniques. I wish I knew what my next subject is, but I may continue with sex and the city for a while, exploring the concept more than the show. it could work!

it would not be a sex and the city theme without shoes. I did these for a bit of fun and color.

I am actually pleased with how the colors turned out in this (the photo doesn’t really show them) the technique again explores a rougher and more expressionist style. The light is pretty nice, and I got to enjoy my drink afterwards!

As the theme of the night was Sex and the City I thought shoes in the city would be very appropriate. it was also a lot of fun to paint.

This is my first attempt with a palette knife. it is inspired by a photograph of New York in heavy fog.
