I am putting this up to show my frustration with this piece. the faces flattened and became dull and I lost hope in it in a big way. it happens to everyone eventually, I was tempted to chuck this straight in the bin to be honest and start again.
So if I hate it why am I posting it here? Firstly I think it is good to put everything up, whether I like it or not, it shows my progression and growth as an artist but also because I use my blog as a visual diary where I can look over my processes and ideas to see what works and what doesn’t.
Secondly, because last night I had a breakthrough! This was the state of this portrait two nights ago. The “before” shot as it were.
