unexpected, but interesting.The Next assignment will be to complete a series of 3 small drawings with the body in space. exxaggerated and out of scale but in a space, landscape/architectural, real/imagined, doesn’t matter as long as it is a body in the space…. that will be tomorrows task, I am thinking of using some of my photographs from Europe as landscape inspirations as some are very interesting and unusual.
I am not going to put the whole thing up as family read this site but I have put some details up. I chose brown paper to try something different and using sepia tones to work back from and the highligh into was fascinating, I think the effects were very good in the end…. I knew a fair bit about Dali but not as much as I found out in that special!
well today was doctor day as I went to two mandated TAC reviews…. at least this time I was not a piece of meat to be passed around and judged. they were much better and while it was uncomfortable and hard physically it was all for the best.Then of course I saw my doctors who are very cool.
now I am completely useless again and very annoyed.In other news assignment work has been clicking along I am quite pleased with it…. I am enjoying this course so much.I am negotiating for two exhibitions next year (probably in hte first half) and working towards some competitions. I have one competition at the end of this month but with my latest setback I am not sure if I will be ready in time.

I am lazy and reasonably busy with two commissions, a quote to make up and my homework.I may upgrade the skin to a flash based one soon – just for pretty value – but I can do this with this program easily.
So when faced with the concept of drawing my naked body I was confronted with myriad body issues and of course the new issues of mobility and disability (as the assignments have requirements I cannot physically fulfill).These assignments have required me to look quite laterally at the exercises and at myself…. The other exercise was not brilliant – it was supposed to be full size and the physical requirements made me do it a different way that I don’t think worked I was too emotionally invested…. The one today was quite clinical – very grays anatomy – this helped me get past some body issues to create it properly with a certain amount of clinical attachment.
I had a very productive day yesterday with the completion of two excersises for class, handmade chicken mignons (and vegetables with cheese saue of doom!) and some substantial work done on my website. I have perfected my sugar-free, wheat-free, low-carb, high-fiber, high-protein, incredibly-decadent-I-cant-believe-these-are-really-good-for-me chocolate brownies…. out of magazines.I have some good thoughts in my head – now I need to plan them in my diary and actually do some work on them.after that I get to do nudes…. It would bring in some good dough though – with Exhibition plans well under way I need dough.its good to be busy though.ok enough rhyming.
we are wireless (or will be when the router is a little more relaible) bluetooth and beautiful. they are running Tiger which is sexier than I had heard and a true joy to work with. I have also gone back to using Safari rather than firefox as it is actually fast now and has tabbed browsing, a built in RSS reader and is actually nice to work with.
That was quite a fun party (if I say so myself), much dancing, and boy do I hurt now – still it was worth it! I overcatered again but my baked goods went down well. the eyeballs in the gory punch were particularly effective.I have now played enough and will get stuck back into my assignments again.yay!
