A couple of quick studies while I work out some of my assignments. I need to map my site. for me that means my terribly exciting back yard.
I have been working with watercolor a little and while I was unhappy with my technique, I liked some of the texture effects. so I decided to mix the watercolor bases with a rough and ready pastel technique. I actually quite like the effect – it isn’t something I would do a lot of things in but it is an interesting look.
Unfortunately, I don’t think this will be appropriate for the assignments as it needs to be more of a ‘map’ effect working on some of the main features. I still don’t know quite what I want to do but oh well!
