It turns out I have been spending time doing rather than writing about it. sorry about that. I have some new paintings to talk about and a couple of art philosophy ideas that I want to discuss.

Last night proved that I didn’t need to worry about loosening up. It is interesting that all of the tight work in the baronial portrait was obviously just what I needed. I rebelled against realism and fine detail last night and produced some more work for the show. I am still so surprised at how flexible this technique is. It creates so many feelings and interpretations.
