This was a delve into expressionism and a chance to use colors I almost never use. It came from a dream using reds and purples in swirling lines. It was a pretty dream. Unfortunately the figures shape was more dynamic – it might have worked better. Again my facisnation in linking shapes have come to the fore – and in this image it is one of the primary focuses. I think it is a really interesting painting but not one of my favorites.

It is fun to delve into some of the other painting styles, I have been a realist for so long it is nice to experiment and try abstractions, distortions and expressionism.
