I have brought up the textiles in further glazing and started on some of the details. I am still not happy with the faces. while the fabrics are beginning to look good, or at least showing a good progression, the faces look flat and dull. not nearly enough expression.I think I failed in some of the earlier layers to create the depth that I really need now. I hope I can bring them up more in the next couple of sessions – I have about a month to finish this portrait and the next one.
