I am now the proud owner of a shiny new disabled parking permit. The process was much less painful than I thought it would be – the biggest hassle was getting ahold of the permit officer to answer her verification questions (ahh phone tag..). I am inordinately pleased, it will make a big difference to a lot of things, Liam won’t have to spend as long looking for spots close to the door (because I can’t walk as far) or spots with enough room to help me out. its all good. it also gives me license to yell at able people who park in the disabled parks. I mean, I did anyway, but now I have legitimacy backing me up! 😛

I am baking like crazy, waiting at the moment for some dough to chill and the dried fruit to soak up brandy. I am also listening to copious amounts of carols – a mix of traditional, modern and silly. my favorite – without doubt – have to be the John Denver and the Muppets carols. I am such a big kid – especially around Christmas!! I also have songs from How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Bing Crosby of course!

in art news, I have finished my resume and proposal information and have shortlisted my favorite galleries. I will be sending them off very soon. I am also working on my assignments, the latest is portraits drawn on a warped grid – it is a very scientific form of abstraction and great for training the eyes – I have laughingly entitles mine ‘my daddy is going to hate me’ I am pleased that I seem to be getting past my old need to only work with images that inspire me – I am really branching out!

I will put them up when I am finished with them. I am so exhausted and sore but at least my schedule allows me to take the time to rest as well.
