I am having a couple of issues uploading photos at the moment – so it isn’t that I am not working or anything, I will put something up as soon as I get this nutted out.
It is a good thing to move with a few weeks to pack and prepare, a good weekend to move big stuff and a week for that final crossover time…. This results in ostracized friends, stress, lost things, stress, an eon unpacking, and a mess at both ends…. Even the evil telstra connections will be good as I arranged them early so all of the installations will be done while we are moving so I can supervise unpacking and installation all at the one time!Oh and we are getting foxtel IQ mmmmm- time to watch the shows I never actually get to see because of the stupid times they are on…

I finally felt up to starting my enormous Drawing courseload today. The planning was done in bed but I had to stand to complete the final drawing. I did ok but I forgot how tiring pen and ink is!! its very different working on an A2 sized pad from working in a visual diary but…
I had a horrible dream last night where everywhere i turned everyone was telling of to in back to project management and to give up my dreams of being an artist- that i would make more money and be more secure…. I met an artist there who was telling of that that is what he did because art never made him money…. Well this dream was obviously an expression of my self doubt as well as my fears of what some people think- i say f*** them!
It was directed well and the story was well laid out and quite faithful to the stage production but the casting really let it down…. The last one was Vanity Fair: i love Reese Whitherspoon and i thought it would be a witty period piece about a girl who rises above adversity…. Now, i don’t want this to be one of those blogs where the writer whinges constantly about her problems, so this will probably be my last post for a while, until i am up and running again.
(well as soon as my chiro gets back and I can actually move but oh well) I actually got the courage to visit Making Life Easy and am now the proud owner of a reacher, a dressing stick and a cane that is actually appropriate for my injuries…. Next we will be looking at a reclining lift chair (electronic, it will lie me back and help me get up without effort – this will reduce the strain on the injuries) and rails for the Loo so that I can get myself up without bringing my cane in with me!!I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get all this stuff but for a long time I was optimistic that I would heal and any purchases like that would be a waste of money and space…. My doctor has been telling me for some time now that it will almost certainly be permanent and all we can hope for is an increase in mobility so it is long overdue that I just admit that I need help and move on. These tools are here for my independence and if they can help me lead a normalish life and let Liam get back to work so much the better.I do feel a little like an old lady tho – thankfully lift chairs now come in quite attractive microsuede!
It is highly textured and, although you cant see it in the photo (its pretty bad, I will re-shoot it later) it has a lot of colors like red and purple…. Not really – and that is another reason why it is important, it is the first piece that is so part of me that I really don’t care what anyone thinks (except Liam)….
