Hiding

Hiding Image by Jennie (c). Another in this latest series. this is a softer approach, more flowy and less strong, but I’m not sure if I like it as much. It’s almost too soft for the series. I have had this image kicking around in my head for a long time and I like the…

Currently Untitled..

Currently untitled Image by Jennie (c). Phew! the good thing about my new iPod is that I am finally able to work at night again. I think my best work comes out at night for some reason, I am more inspired and more in tune with my creative forces.. or something like that. I need…

Running

Running Image by Jennie (c). Another in this series of impasto pieces. I am really liking this technique. I have to be extremely fast with the knife and will usually go through the image several times before I get it right. I drew a similarity to chinese calligraphy in my head the other night because…

Reaching

A new experiment

Untitled Image by Jennie (c). This was an experiment based on my turps glazing technique. I had this one cooking in my mind for some time. I was given this canvas as a part of a big group that my mother gave em for my birthday – she looked for interesting shapes and sizes to…

Let it All Hang Out

Visit any old European museum, from Naples to Bloomsbury, and they have more marble statues of disrobed gods and heroes than they…

WIP – untitled

WIP – untitled Originally uploaded by minxdragon. This is Very Much a WIP – I have only started blocking. the shapes in this one are fascinating and are quite similar to how I have been feeling. the Palette is similar to Warm Light and hopefully it should have a really nice feel when I am…

New Works

I am not going to put the whole thing up as family read this site but I have put some details up. I chose brown paper to try something different and using sepia tones to work back from and the highligh into was fascinating, I think the effects were very good in the end…. I knew a fair bit about Dali but not as much as I found out in that special!
