Phew!

it is very physically intensive no matter what you do so I am very tired now.I feel they let down some of my other assignments so I will take the next couple of days to fix them up – then I can set up my folio with impugnity…. they say they will have the internet up by then but I want to make sure I have allowed for telstra inefficiency and potential network issues (theoretically it should be as easy as reconnecting the router, modem and computers but where networking is considered nothing is set in stone)…. then I need to refine my diary, re-photograph all my works and visual diary and get the presentations together. That isn’t too much to do in two days…

Moving right along…

It is a good thing to move with a few weeks to pack and prepare, a good weekend to move big stuff and a week for that final crossover time…. This results in ostracized friends, stress, lost things, stress, an eon unpacking, and a mess at both ends…. Even the evil telstra connections will be good as I arranged them early so all of the installations will be done while we are moving so I can supervise unpacking and installation all at the one time!Oh and we are getting foxtel IQ mmmmm- time to watch the shows I never actually get to see because of the stupid times they are on…

Tales from the bedroom

It was directed well and the story was well laid out and quite faithful to the stage production but the casting really let it down…. The last one was Vanity Fair: i love Reese Whitherspoon and i thought it would be a witty period piece about a girl who rises above adversity…. Now, i don’t want this to be one of those blogs where the writer whinges constantly about her problems, so this will probably be my last post for a while, until i am up and running again.

Blah

It seems that a lot of people are feeling blah – I have been reading friends blogs, and strangers blogs, and talking to people and blah is the word of the week…. Unfortunately today’s weather sucked so they are really dim and not particularly good…. monash uni sounds like a good subject to do a series of photographs from – but in reality it sucked.

erg

Sorry I havn’t posted anything for a while, My doctors have doubled my meds and now I am more or less useless. I just cant be bothered doing anything. the apathy will wear off soon – hopefully in time for me to lodge my assignments!yawn.

TV as art

My life is art, Cable TV and Internet so I am in a position to critique.Six Feet Under is Art. It makes us look at ourselves and feel glad for what we have, it makes us look at death and mortality in a non threatening way and understand it- and it makes us appreciate what goes between, the little moments.the cinematography, the colors and lack of saturation, the angles and the way it makes us see things from so many angles is compelling…. 😛 I am so glad arena moved it back to weekdays – Liam hates it so I have to watch it alone.I think the faces are beautiful.Six Feet Under is pretty understandable, most people would probably agree with me…. It also presents a bleak view of our world through massive distortion and abstraction that is like looking through shards of a broken mirror.woah.Ok its funny and silly and wrong too – and that is good.

One arty thing per day closed for illness

I have a cold. its my first in ages in ages which is good and I still had a great weekend seeing everyone so I dont begrudge it but I cant hold a brush or a willow stick right now so I am on hiatus.blarg.In other news, I have updated my accident details page to reflect my new diagnosis and ways forward. sorry if it sounds a bit down, I do have a cold after all!

Europe

I cant really remember the exact itinerary.anyway, there were so many brilliant memories (and some not so brilliant ones, I didn’t really fit in with the group very well – but it’s where RealKosh and I became good friends so that is good!… but this is an art blog so I will focus on my brillian artistic memories – for more memories there is a huge rambling comment on RealKosh’s post on Pah’s Blog.Europe is a mecca for artists (possibly seconded by New York) I loved France and Italy especally, moving through landscapes that are like paintings grants a new apprecaition…. so I loved every gallery filled minute!I got to see, in real life, the Sistine Chapel ceiling, the David, Guernica, Starry Night, the Mona Lisa, some sculptures by Degas and Rodin and many works by some of my favorite artists including Carravaggio and Lautrec!

One arty thing a day…

My new meds are making me so sleepy and pathetic I have to set myself some tasks to make sure I accomplish things.First and foremost are my assignments obviously – I needed an extension on my second art history essay (the impact of the Flemish renaissance on painting) due to these stupid drugs which made me more or less useless while I got used to them. Anyway, I have had a productive day today and completed one of my photography assignments as well as making some good headway on my art history essay…. As part of my destressing, assigning tasks, and general art work, I am going to create one art piece per day.
