working small is a great opportunity to work on composition and finding the heart of a piece. with limited space I need to work maximum impact – it’s a great way to get the creative juices flowing. I thing I’ve needed some boundaries to my working to concentrate my focus. freedom is bliss, but boundaries can create the focus needed to move up to the next level. I am very happy with this piece. as usual, the more I paint the more I want to, the more it takes over. having shows to prepare for helps, I’m on a deadline which, as an ex project manager, I relish – the time limit makes it real, it gives me the opportunity to get the works out of my head and onto the canvas.I don’t have a name for this one yet – feel free to suggest one!
