My scheduled post for this didn’t go off last week. The second in my steampunk burlesque series, I learned something doing this piece. I have a newfound respect for still life painters. People forgive flaws in figures, all figures are different and if something is shaped differently then it is nature. But man made objects, like pipes, well. If the curve is slightly off it can ruin the entire piece. The figure was complete in two day’s work. The pipes took over a week. I hate them and I love them and I never want to paint them again!
