I walked into my studio to get something and saw my WIP there on my easel. well this is always a mistake. I stood and looked at it for quite a while. I was uncomfortable with where i left this work and was very unhappy with the work I did in the last photograph.
yesterday (unphotographed), I reworked all of the proportions and completely re-did almost the entire painting. I worked wet until it started to muddy. I had decided to wait until it dried before trying to work on it again. Well. all of that went out of the window this evening as I saw it and couldn’t resist picking up my brush. It is nearly done now and has a much better feel. I like the look – I am planning to do some final color and highlighting when it dries and then it will be ready.
